Did you know there exists such things as move-your-steering-after-kill-engine lock?
I didn't, not even after 9 months of Jack driving. Luckily sampahman was around when Jack refused to start after being move-your-steering-after-kill-engine locked, thus saving me a semi-panic attack and a semi-hysterical phonecall
Thanks for the how to unlock a move-your-steering-after-kill-engine lock tip! Owe you one.

So how do you unlock the move-your-steering-after-kill-engine lock? I have to know in case I buy a modern car and misplace the car manual.
And you say you've been driving for how long now? 3 years?
hahaha. scuse me, my kancil not so canggih.
to unlock, u need to turn the ignition and the steering at the same time. apparently a lot of people knew this. we old car / featureless car drivers wouldn't know better, eh teddy?
tsk tsk tsk....its not fair to blame everyhting on Baby now, is it? Poor Baby.
p/s: i hope that i got the kancil's name right
err...i tot all cars also have that feature? my 18 year old saga has the steering lock mechanism also. haven't try it out in my WNK yet
yeah... i tot so too. my sis' iswara has it, my dad's old old sunny 130Y had it. just that some cars, u need to turn the handle quite a bit. Iswara: quarter circle.
to unlock, just turn it a bit in the 'same direction' as it was originally locked too, then turn the ignition key. a bit like handbrake lar. Kena tarik sikit sebelum can picit the butang :)
my dad's old Honda Accord also has it!
my old PEB still has it... sorry lar.. don't have new car to show off ... uhmmp~~
haha. am I the only blur one around?
I swear my kancil didn't have. Or maybe I didn't turn the steering enough to ever get it to lock. Hmm.
err...iirc, i think i did managed to steering lock Kahping's kancil. must double confirm with him.
Lichard...who's that yesterday in F1? *ahem ahem**cough cough*
i think the newer ones might have it. I have a colleague who's kancil confirm didn't have it. But who knows, yours might actually have it but was (pitifully) ignored. Kesian Baby... so (possibly) mis-understood
