Serviced

Mileage: 1708 km
Serviced (finally)

Jack just back from fourth trip to & from KLIA. A few more trips and he can make it there unguided.

He's a lot nicer to drive now that he's serviced. Service staff and conditions at KIA not too great though, especially compared to the warm friendliness of Perodua Service Centres. I wonder if Perodua Service will mind doing Jack.

Now that he's serviced I can ignore the new-engine-don't-go-over 100km/h. Hehehe... yes... the ride from KLIA seems rather short suddenly.

By rite, if i'm not mistaken, new cars nowadays, the manufacturers already did some dry run on the engine b4 they ship it out for sale. So , basically, you can rev it up more than 100kmh but still, why not just follow ppl's advice on not goin above 100. Just my 2 cents

Correct me if i'm wrong

The thing is, usually the engine will almost always be run in... but the other components (like, say, the tyres) may have not. So it is STILL unadvisable to run more than 100kmph before the first service.

yup, agreed with teddy. Also, no matter how much it has been pre-runned-in (wat english!), there's no denying that the engine is still new. There will be sedimentary residues in the engine oil as u use it... which in English means, the faster u go (the higher ur rev's), the more wear an tear due to abbrasion.

my recommendation, dun just stick to the first 1000. Get ur engine oil through 2 changes to be really safe... and to prove ur love for Jack :P
